One of my favorite teachers Mr. Martinez could tell I was really hurting from George Harrison's death. (It was the first rock star death in my memory that I distinctly remember). He gave me the Beatles photos that came with White Album and the rarely seen Sgt Pepper cardboard badge and other cut outs.

The only part of the album that I don't have is the inner sleeve. I've never even seen it until a google search and it's described as "For the first time, the usual white paper record inner sleeve looked very different. What fans got was unique: an abstract pattern of red, pink and white waves." One day maybe I can acquire it and add it to the record sleeve on my wall. This album kicked off my love of album cover art and all the special add ins that records can come with. The cover of Sgt Pepper mesmerized me and got me thinking. There is so much detail on the cover. So much going on and so much to wonder about.
According to Rolling Stone "The Beatles will celebrate the 50th anniversary of their groundbreaking album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band with several reissue packages arriving May 26th." I put together a small video showing my Sgt Pepper record inside and out, a real treat since I rarely get it down and remove it from it's frame!
