Introducing RockResurrectionArt.com

After nearly a year of hand making jewelry at a near robot-factory pace, I finally have an actual domain where all of it can live. I started off posted my guitar pick jewelry on Etsy, then expanded to Square Up so I can also do sales in person. That was great, but I knew I wanted to get it all under one roof. I finally have that done and all of my guitar pick jewelry can be found on my new site Rockresurrectionart.com .  This site also has some new features, like a form for custom jewelry and the ability to reserve items for purchase. Big thanks to my Bite-the-dust.com host for 10+ years Hostned.com for helping me re-direct my domain and fix my mistakes. Great customer service!  Take a minute to check out my new site! I have some cute guitar pick hair clips and earrings for a good price and fair shipping. I looked extensively on the internet to find other guitar pick jewelry and no one does anything like I do. I'm proud to say what I make is unique and can't ...

Turning old record sleeves into preserved guitar pick jewelry!

After years of collecting records I have a fair amount that are just the beat up sleeves I got in a bargain bin at just about anywhere. Instead of it just sitting on the shelf, I strategically cut them out with my Pick Punch and turned them into guitar pick pendants for earrings and tie clips! This is an awesome way to preserve the album art in a way you can utilize for fashion any day. Also as a music fan, it's exciting to create them and fun to sell them to other fans like myself. What I create some what depends on the materials I have...like these (above) for example were made from a somewhat beat up -cheap Queen album sleeve I found. The images behind them are left over pieces of the album. I try not to butcher ones in perfectly good shape, but beat up album sleeves I consider fair game. Now that I have figured out how to do this I'm going to do this with many more album sleeves and fliers. I'm about to open two new sections of my Etsy shop , one for these ne...

Bite The Dust bash aftermath!

As of January 19th 2014 Bite-the-dust.com has been around for 11 years! We through our first bash this year at The Grease Diner , an awesome art gallery and screen printing shop. It was also my 29th birthday! I spent about a day preparing the "Galactic Goodies" which consisted of Wookiee Cookies, Yoda Soda, and more recipes from my Star Wars cook books. I adapted some of the recipes, making the cupcakes tie-dye. I also had a table up of my BTD merchandise , guitar pick earrings and jewelry. I sold a few pieces that night which was a neat surprise! We opened the night with setting up chatting and munching on the desserts. At about 7:00 Emily Jayne hit the stage with a cover of The Ramones "Needles and Pins." She also included her songs "Your Toy" and "Astroplane." EJ also made me super happy by playing Joan Jett's "Bad Reputation."  After than we did a bunch of screen printing, making black and white t-shirts and tote bags. N...
