If someone could go back in time to show little Becca a portable mp3 player and Pandora, I think my head would have exploded. I may be old school, but I am pretty into whatever technological advances come out...mostly if they have to do with music. Pandora really changed my life by exposing me to new music. One evening on Pandora came on an artist whose voice instantly intrigued me. It was dark, whiny and almost monotone with an essence of girl garage rock. The song I heard was "Now" (which I can't find on YouTube) but was able to buy from iTunes. It's this creepy, piano driven tune with her haunting vocals. This is no Regina Spektor, or Bjork, or Tori Amos. This is something with a lot of attitude. I looked into the band after finding that song and discovered Holly Golightly has been around since the early 90's. She's a good example of indie rock music that I like. Just listen to two of these good examples of her tunes, you'll see what I mean! ...
This blog is about ideas and interests. A Fiberglass Jacket was one that didn't work out. I mostly write about music and pop culture.
