"Coma White Fran Bow" a music video combining game play and a song by Marilyn Manson.   After watching a Let's Play with Markiplier playing the "Fran Bow" game I found myself really inspired by it's visuals. The story line was incredible and left me with vivid dreams that night. In my dream Fran Bow game play was paired up with the song "Coma White" by Marilyn Manson  and game play by  Dat360NoScope .  The next morning I began editing and a few days later between all the other things going on in life I made this fan music video. This is a fan made music video incorporating game play and music; I do not claim to have any rights over either of them.  Being born not long after the invention of MTV, I actually grew up watching the evolution of music videos. Over time I became obsessed with music videos; they fulfilled both my love of music and "Black Hole Sun" music video film. My fascination with films turned into an obsession with music videos. I loved them.  I loved watching them on VH1 and old MTV (ya know, when they used to play music videos). It was a short movie telling a story to music and I loved that idea. My new life goal wasn't just to make films, but be a music video director!  Music videos have been influential to me since an early age and helped shape my creative mind. Even though I love many music videos, I have a special place in my heart for the twisted music videos that intrigued me.  I love how far music videos have come, and I love seeing them change and get better with the times. They started out so simplistically in the 80's, showing the band performing or pointlessly wandering....

 The Body Project was one of the first books, if not the first to inspire me. In Junior college I was assigned to read many books, everything from Lance Armstrong's bio to Eli Witzel's holocaust survival book. But the one that hit me hardest in the gut was "The Body Project" by Joan Jacobs Brumberg. I grew up female and understood most of the peer pressure females felt, even if I didn't personally fall victim to it. This book was fantastic because it spanned from the Victorian era to the 60's to now. I couldn't put this book down, and I couldn't stop thinking. At the time I was also in a film production class. We were assigned to make a PSA, and I wanted mine to be about body image. The beauty in the music video that results is, a completely natural morning routine by a college age girl.  Since the age of 5 I've been dreaming about being a movie director. I've always been enchanted by the world of film and wanted to be behind the scenes. When I was a small child I wanted to direct films, but before long I discovered music and fell in love. I realized that music videos were going to be my ultimate focus. It encompasses both of my biggest passions into one. Movie director wise, I love the work of Stanley Kubrick, David Lynch and Ridley Scott. Years ago I discovered the guy who would quickly become my music video director idol. Mark Romanek has worked with everybody I would choose to if I could. He's done music videos for just about everybody, but more notably the rock and roll acts we love. I am pretty confident you've already seen some of his work, he's done some pretty famous work! Yesterday I watched an interesting episode of Phil Donahue from the early 90's. For some reason I also instantly started putting the Misfit's "Some kinda hate" in with it. Here is the end result. I put in a letter written by Marilyn Manson as read by Phil Donahue on this quite interesting episode. The episode seemed to center on counter culture in the early 90's. The second part of the song features a mash up of Phil Donahue quotes. Here is the 'music video' I made to go along with the song.
