I ended up reducing down the gallery size to focus on the main parts of my picture collections. They are pictures from 2003 to 2017.  ...Gallery details... Scans - Articles and photos from books and magazines. Rock Star Pics - Images of rock stars together. Rock Fashion - Rock t-shirts, purses and other groovy clothing. Joey Ramone - Pictures that show his eyes. Digital Art - Art I created in adobe photoshop and illustrator. Concerts - Photos from live shows, including signage and concert goodies. Art - Pieces that I drew or painted. If you have any pictures to add to my collection (namely the Joey and Rock pics albums) please send them my way. Websites don't just appear out of nowhere like a rabbit in a hat. I recently read an article from the Huffington Post called Survey Proves We Still Really Need To Talk About Photoshop  which stated that... "Fifteen percent of 18 to 24-year-olds surveyed, were convinced that the images of models and celebrities in advertisements, magazines and billboards accurately depict what these women look like in real life. Differentiating between Photoshop and real life is hard enough when a woman is aware of the airbrushing that probably went on; it becomes much harder when she isn't even given the basic facts." And this  One Poll reported that "33% of the women polled also feel the body they aspire towards is not possible for them to achieve ." JackCutter.com  Since the launch of Becca Jones-Starr's Band Promotion , I have connected with many new artists in the area. One of them was guitarist Jack Cutter, who needed his website spruced up. I also hooked him into social networking sites, shared his music, event schedule and created a press kit . I love getting to make a website from the ground up. I can go any direction I like as long as the client enjoys it too. Jack seemed to enjoy art nouveau design elements which I also am a fan of. We both understood that we were going for almost a "whimsical" feel for the website.  Jack Cutter is just the kind of person I like the work with, which is why I have my business catered towards musicians and other artists.  I have officially trademarked the Bite The Dust logo I created this August. I will use this logo for my website and band promotion. I drew for nearly a year before I came up with a logo I was happy with. Only my friends know how much I actually suffered mulling over ideas, drawing and studying icons. I've had my community and now growing business since 2003. I never had an official logo until just this year.  Before that I used quite a few different icons and illustrations. I knew I needed to come up with something original and from the heart, and it needed to come from me . So I am pleased as punch to not only have a logo finally, but I have it officially trademarked.  It is another step in the progress I am making with Bite The Dust. Lately I have been scratching things off my "to learn" list. I already knew how to make regular animated gifs, but really wanted to learn to make the kind from video clips. After some Googling, I found out I could do it with Photoshop...and Tada! I have been going crazy making gifs from my ideas and the suggestions of fans on our page.  The next things I plan to learn are how to build apps, more about mobile and HTML 5. I also want to edit more audio and video clips for music video creations as an example of my editing skills.  I am even considering making a Animation Tutorial so you guys can learn to make these gifs too! Bite-the-dust.com  I rarely change the index page of Bite-the-dust.com, but we are now at one of those times! Since the birth of the BTD Kid logo yesterday I want to put it in there on the site more. I have also plugged the index page with all the social media I'm connected into, and a banner featuring my 'new' business: Becca Jones-Starr's Band Promotion . I say new, because I've been doing it for years but finally made a website for it. Sometime this week I will start making different outfits and hairstyles for the BTD Kid , like I mentioned in the last post . I want to make a glam one, a punk one, and I am open to more suggestions!  After kicking around ideas and doodling in my composition journal for at least a year, I have found a logo that I have conceptualized, designed and like . Bite-the-dust.com has been around for 10+ years and I ever came with up an official logo. After a LOT of thought and bouncing ideas off of everyday I finally came up with something. It features Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, Joey Ramone, Davy Jones and Joan Jett. * This logo was pretty good, but the problem is it has other people's images in it. On July 7th, 2012 I debuted unarguably the most important website I was ever hired to build. A lot of blood sweat and tears went into cultivating TheGits.com . Being a loyal music fan myself, and knowing what I like to see I worked really hard to develop the website. An important element was that I reached out to Gits fans to hear what'd they'd like to see. The band (Steve, Andy, Matt) also have seen the website and know about it in addition to Mia's family. That is also important to me. I have a lot of respect for music, punk, & The Gits, so did my best to create an archive of the band. Since the debut of The Gits site, Steve and I have continued working together. I have been running The Gits Online Store and sending out merch for probably about 9 months now. I think it's a blast, I feel like a rock and roll Santa but all year long. It has been a really exciting year and a half. I feel so fortunate to have met so many nice folks who appreciate my work and are artists them selves. This June I'm celebrating my year anniversary working with the Gits (June 12th) and maintaining their website TheGits.com . I've also been running The Gits Online Store , sending out everything from apparel to vinyl records. It's been a really fun experience so far. Through the Gits I met Mike Millet from  Broken Rekids  and was hired to re-create his site. Steve Moriarty of the Gits, whose a psychotherapist, had me build his  Justherapy  website. Lately I've been on a grass roots inspired kick to promote Bite-the-dust.com and reach out to more like minded people. I was hugely influenced by " Resurrect Dead: The Mystery of the Toynbee Tiles " documentary. I'm lucky enough to live in a culturally rich area, and take for granted all the art, graffiti and words that are around me. We live in a world with so many signs, I don't blame people for for missing something that's right in front of them.
